Halls of Torment is a survivor-like built to look and play like Diablo 1, and at 95 percent positive on Steam from over 31,000 reviews it earns the comparison rather than borrowing it. The presentation changes how runs feel, fourteen heroes give genuinely different starts, and the Shrine of Blessings being fully refundable removes the usual anxiety about spending meta-progression currency. The weaknesses are a mid-game that repeats itself before the later unlocks arrive, and a trait system whose central rule — that higher trait ranks are gated behind your level — the game never really explains.

¿De qué va el juego?
A survivor-like wearing Diablo 1 clothes — dark isometric halls, item drops and a boss at the end of each hall. Blessings are refundable, traits last one run, and items only become permanent through the Well, which makes the progression read very differently from the rest of the genre.
